Friday the 13th is going to be sex-thrilling this year – there’s an astrological reason for that

Lady Luck may have left the building, but your chances of getting lucky are still pretty good.

Cue horror movie doom music—Friday the 13th is just around the corner, bringing with it a sense of general unease and an unexpectedly cool astrological transit.

Before we get to the primary work of sex and shadow, we’ll address the ominous reputation.

Why are you afraid of Friday the 13th?

The unfortunate association of this day of days stretches back centuries in Nordic folklore. According to myth, the twelve main deities of the Norse pantheon hosted a dinner (entertainment) in Valhalla.

The trickster god Loki appeared uninvited as the thirteenth guest and orchestrated the ‘mistlet kill’ the death of Balder the Fair, god of light and joy. Balder’s death brought grief to the world and strengthened the evil atmosphere of number thirteen.

Fatal holidays continue in the Christian tradition.

Friday is no fun, all death in the Bible

Thirteen people were present at the Last Supper; Judas, a would-be Aries and JC’s red-haired betrayer, was the last to arrive, furthering the association between the number and impending death or destruction.

And the hits keep on coming, folks.

Friday comes into the Bible game in a few additional ways; Jesus was crucified on the Friday after the Last Supper, and according to history, Friday marks the day that a) Cain killed Abel and b) Eve offered Adam the apple of the fall of knowledge.

Friday the 13th in history

Through the Bible and beyond, Friday the 13th has been host to abhorrent events that have further fueled its reputation as evil. Notable among them are the arrest and subsequent massacre of the Knights Templar in 1307, the bombing of Buckingham Palace in 1940, and the murders of New Yorker Kitty Genovese in 1964 and rapper Tupac Shakur in 1996.

The fear of this date is as deep as its history; There are even two terms to describe the phobia, each sounding an awful lot like Ikea furniture – namely paraskavedekatriaphobia and friggatriskaidekaphobia.

Friday the 13th Astrology

Thirteen does not mean doom varbenov – stock.adobe.com

In astrology, Friday belongs to Venus, the planet of love, beauty, attraction, assets, aesthetics and ambient light.

And it just so happens that this year, Venus will be in her Libra home on Friday the 13th.

This transit heightens the energy of love, attraction, beauty, and anticipation, making it a peak time for calling in wishes and a great time to hit the town or hit up a stranger for role-play, family constellation therapy, opportunities for freelance work or a hotel meeting.

Venus in Libra = turned on by return service, and all to turn on a space that someone else has to clear.

In a conjunction of the status quo and the subversive, Venus will also be conjunct, or mixing energies with Black Moon Lilith (BML) on Friday the 13th Libra represents attraction and conventional appetites, while BML is the toe-sucking, shadow-walking, salty underbelly of taboo.

Despite the dark associations of Friday the 13th, BML represents our wild selves, our primal urge to create and destroy, the shadow side of human sexuality, our certain shame, the unconscious mind, secret desires and reservoirs of power .

You know, sunny things.

During this connection, the lines between illegal and accepted are blurred, expression and experimentation are encouraged. Venus requires us to be fully present for the physical pleasure of being alive, while BML requires us to own and initiate what makes us feel vital, powerful, and free.

Letting it out, going up, going down and telling the truth are great ways to honor the spirit of this transit and welcome next week’s eclipse, the main theme of which will be released.

Given the buzz of Friday the 13th horror movies, might I suggest translating the foreboding, darkly painful/pleasant energy of those spooky holidays into your pursuit and enjoyment of all things?
